Photography
I started out in travel photography over 10 years ago, globetrotting to 50+ countries capturing wildlife and landscapes.
Now firmly rooted in Scotland, I love to capture people and the outdoors, recognising that humans are an integral part of our surroundings. I have photographed for clubs, community groups, charities, events and more. Previous clients include National Trust for Scotland. My work has also been exhibited at galleries in Aberdeen and Glasgow.
I am a member of the Association of Photographers.
Writing
As a former policy and comms specialist, I have been writing professionally for over 10 years. While working in financial services I wrote about areas such as consumer rights, technology, financial access and inclusion, data protection, and diversity and inclusion.
I now report on a range of topics including but not limited to arts and culture, migrant rights, environmentalism and decolonisation.
When I'm not writing investigations, features or reviews, I like to write and perform poetry. In 2024 I won the Bold Types Scottish Women's Creative Writing Competition.
I am a member of both the National Union of Journalists and The Society of Authors.
